Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Coastal and Hydrodynamic Modeller.

This role involves providing innovative solutions to marine and aquatic ecological issues, analysing met-ocean/oceanographic and water quality data, and undertaking numerical modelling for dredging, wastewater discharges, and oil spills.

The successful candidate will have experience with numerical modelling software and analysis of met-ocean/oceanographic and water quality data, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with engineers and approvals specialists to provide innovative solutions to marine and aquatic ecological issues.
  • Analyse met-ocean/oceanographic and water quality data.
  • Undertake three-dimensional hydrodynamic modelling and two-dimensional spectral wave modelling.
  • Support maritime and coastal teams in delivering coastal numerical modelling assessments.
  • Provide environmental advice to clients.
  • Contribute to the preparation of high-quality proposals and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure a positive client experience in project delivery.
What You Will Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor degree qualifications in Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience with numerical modelling software (MIKE software suite preferred).
  • Efficient data management, mathematical and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
