Leadership Opportunity: Technical Supervisor

A strategic and hands-on leader is sought to guide and mentor a skilled trades team in delivering technical excellence on a Defence Maintenance Contract. This role offers the chance to drive continuous improvement, foster a culture of safety, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of 10 skilled trade staff and apprentices.
  • Allocate tasks and manage workflow in accordance with the End-to-End Maintenance Process.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and technical investigations as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support professional development across the team.
  • Collaborate with planners, schedulers, and Defence stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.
  • Review time confirmations, leave applications, and performance metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated leadership in a workshop or maintenance environment.
  • Experience using SAP and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of WHS, quality assurance, and Defence compliance standards.
  • Manual C-class driver's licence.
