**Risk Manager Role Overview**

This position plays a pivotal role in supporting various business units with risk management coordination, encompassing identification, analysis, mitigation, and implementation aligned with the organization's framework, policies, and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct research into relevant legislation and analyze safety data trends to provide informed risk management insights.
  • Coordinate transformational programs to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks, ensuring delivery of ALARP outcomes across diverse initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure risk assessments are conducted and documented according to organizational risk framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize technology and data-driven solutions to coordinate analysis, identifying risk insights (i.e., trends) and develop recommendations for efficiency improvements to support business units in driving risk reduction and transformation.
  • Research multiple data sources to inform Board reports and safety committee meetings, driving risk insights and areas for continuous improvement.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within the aviation industry.
  • Certificate/Diploma in risk management (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience in risk management activities, including Bow Tie risk methodology and risk frameworks.
  • Sound knowledge of aviation, occupational safety, and relevant AUS/NZ and ISO Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to change and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with all levels of management.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
