Risk Specialist

As a risk and control specialist, you will be responsible for strengthening the risk and compliance capabilities of our Retail Operations division. This dynamic role offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your impact across a new business area, particularly in retail banking or home lending environments.
You will be a proactive and autonomous risk partner to our Everyday Banking Operations, delivering line 1 risk advisory services across three key areas: Risk Advisory & Change Management, Operational Risk & Compliance, and Risk Reporting & Governance.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in operational risk and compliance within financial services, ideally retail banking and risk repositories.
- Expertise in control design, implementation, and assurance and issue management.
- Strong communication and advisory skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business units and senior stakeholders.
- Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics are key to success in this role.
