The Role

In this crucial role, you will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the council's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with end-users across all levels, providing technical support and ensuring smooth operation of software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the council's IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Provide technical support to end-users across all levels, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with software vendors to implement, support, and enhance software applications.
  • Work closely with the IT team to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements:

  • A degree in IT, computing science or a related discipline, or extensive industry experience.
  • Experience participating in the implementation and enhancement of software applications.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in providing technical and business support.
  • The ability to collaborate with software vendors to implement, support, and enhance software applications.
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Local government experience preferred.
