Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership in the Supportive & Palliative Care team at Auburn Hospital. This role involves delivering expert clinical advice, leading quality improvement initiatives, providing education and mentorship to multidisciplinary teams, and participating in clinical research and service planning.

  • Deliver expert clinical advice and consultancy in palliative and supportive care
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Provide education, mentorship and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams
  • Initiate and participate in clinical research, service planning and strategic initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years full time equivalent post-registration experience in a specialty field in either Palliative Care, Cancer Care, Advanced or Aged Care Nursing
  • Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which you are appointed
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, review and redevelopment of policy, procedures and education programmes, relevant to the clinical specialty
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and develop/maintain professional relationships and networks across multiple disciplines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology skills
