Electrical Systems Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the development and implementation of safe, compliant, and efficient electrical systems across our material recovery facilities. This hands-on role supports technical reliability, fault diagnostics, and capital project delivery, working closely with site operations, engineering, and strategic teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing electrical standards across all sites in accordance with Australian regulations.
  • Leading preventative and planned maintenance strategies to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Supporting and coordinating the electrical elements of capital projects and asset upgrades.
  • Conducting advanced fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on breakdowns to ensure learnings are applied across the network.
  • Collaborating with site teams and contractors to ensure electrical work meets safety and performance expectations.
  • Managing and optimising expenditure by monitoring contractor performance and driving alignment to technical standards.
  • Contributing to the development of in-house capabilities, supporting dual-trade and electrical skills development within site teams.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in electrical engineering roles, ideally in manufacturing or recycling environments.
  • Strong understanding of Australian electrical safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with automation systems and continuous process operations.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple sites with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
