The role of Industrial Designer is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of innovative outdoor play products.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Industrial Designer. As part of this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality outdoor play products that meet our safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing product concepts from initial idea through to mass production
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company strategy and vision
  • Assisting and mentoring junior designers to develop their skills and expertise
  • Working closely with offshore suppliers to bring products to market
  • Conducting market research and consumer trend analysis to inform product development decisions
  • Prototyping designs using a variety of methods including 3D printing and in-house fabrication

You will also be responsible for ensuring all products meet our high standards of safety and quality. Additionally, you will work within established brand guidelines and design language while bringing a unique point of view and 'design voice' to your work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Design or a recognised equivalent
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a similar role designing quality consumer products either in-house or agency-based
  • Experience with designing injection-moulded parts and steel fabrication highly desirable
  • Advanced-level Solidworks CAD skills including demonstrated ability to produce detailed engineering drawings
  • Ability and willingness to travel overseas is a requirement of this role

This role is based in Brisbane, Australia and involves working full-time Monday-Friday in our Wakerley office. We offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment and opportunities for professional growth and development.
