About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Resource Recovery Engagement Officer to join our team at Campbelltown City Council. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting kerbside recycling and garden organics bins to identify contamination, collecting and analyzing data related to contamination, and engaging with the community to improve resource recovery rates across the LGA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting kerbside recycling and garden organics bins to identify contamination
- Data collection and analysis in relation to contamination of kerbside bins
- Engaging with the community to improve resource recovery rates
- Working with the community to promote waste reduction and recycling practices
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers and resolving problems and conflict
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy and report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of bin types, waste and recycling streams, kerbside collection service arrangements, and processing and disposal systems
- Current NSW Class C drivers licence (or motorbike licence)
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Exemption
