We are seeking a Waste Management Engagement Specialist to join our Campbelltown City Council team.

About Us

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting kerbside recycling and garden organics bins to identify contamination
  • Data collection and analysis in relation to contamination of kerbside bins
  • Engaging with the community to improve resource recovery rates across the LGA
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers and resolving problems and conflict
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Computer literacy, report writing skills, and strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of an effective team
  • Understanding of bin types, waste, and recycling streams, kerbside collection service arrangements, and processing and disposal systems
  • A working knowledge of the causes and problems created by contamination in recycling and organics streams
  • Current NSW Class C drivers' license (or motorbike license)
