Digital Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic graduate to join our team at On Country Roads Civil & Mining in Melbourne for an initial 1-month internship (subject to extension).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement content strategies for various digital marketing tools.
  • Assist with creating and managing social media calendars, brainstorming ideas for new and innovative campaigns.
  • Draft, edit, and post content to social media channels, ensuring consistency and brand voice.
  • Draft and distribute news releases, media advisories, and other stories to promote the company's image.
  • Monitor social media and website analytics on a weekly/monthly basis, providing reports and recommendations to increase engagement.
  • Prepare email blast and newsletter templates, highlighting company news and achievements.
  • Distribution list building, acquisition, and management to ensure targeted communication.
  • Develop sales flyers, direct mail, invites, and other collateral and sales tools to support business growth.

Required Skills:

  • Passion for Digital Marketing and Print Media, with a strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Completed or working towards a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Demonstrated performance and experience as a positive team player, with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required, as we are unable to sponsor at this time.
