We are seeking an experienced Energy Trader/Analyst to join our team and support our client's participation in the NEM by managing the daily trading activities of its operational assets.
You will be responsible for managing the performance and compliance of an outsourced provider of 24/7 trading and settlement services, overseeing Power Purchase Agreements, liaising with off-take counterparties, analysing market data, and contributing to the development of trading strategies.
This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing renewables developer with more than 600 MW of operational assets and plans to not only develop but also operate BESS and wind projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily trading activities of operational assets
- Oversee the performance and compliance of outsourced providers
- Liaise with off-take counterparties and analyse market data
- Contribute to the development of trading strategies
- Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM), wholesale pricing, settlements, and risk exposures
- Experience managing outsourced providers or service agreements
- Quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with AEMO systems, data sources, and APIs
