Renewable Energy Trading Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Energy Markets Analyst, focusing on market modelling, revenue forecasting, and risk analysis across renewable and storage assets.
This role will be responsible for conducting asset-level market simulations for wind, solar, battery storage, and hybrid assets to enable data-driven trading and contracting strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop site-specific market forecasts and dispatch projections to support project finance, due diligence, and trading strategies.
- Model revenues across wholesale arbitrage, ancillary services, and other value streams.
- Assess curtailment, negative pricing exposure, and network constraint risks.
- Forecast Marginal Loss Factors (MLF) and Distribution Loss Factors (DLF) for project evaluation.
Experience & Qualifications
3-6 years' experience in energy markets analysis, modelling, or trading analytics.
Hands-on experience with market modelling tools (e.g., PLEXOS, Python, R, or similar).
A strong understanding of wholesale electricity markets, ancillary service markets, and renewable/storage project economics.
