Electrical Automation Specialist

The role of Electrical Automation Specialist involves the development and implementation of safe, compliant, and efficient electrical systems. The position is responsible for leading technical reliability, fault diagnostics, and capital project delivery.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement standards across all sites, ensuring adherence to Australian regulations.
  • Lead preventative maintenance strategies, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Support and coordinate electrical elements of capital projects and asset upgrades.
  • Conduct advanced fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on breakdowns, ensuring learnings are applied across the network.
  • Collaborate with site teams and contractors to ensure electrical work meets expectations.
  • Manage and optimise expenditure by monitoring contractor performance.
  • Contribute to in-house capabilities, supporting dual-trade and electrical skills development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in electrical engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of Australian electrical safety standards.
  • Experience with automation systems and continuous process operations.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple sites.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
