About the Role

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development and Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key military personnel and agencies in the region.

You will gather intelligence on relevant programs in the region to establish requirements for L3Harris technology. You will also provide reports and returns to management in accordance with established process and procedure, and in accordance with Australian and regional compliance and governance regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key military personnel and agencies in the region.
  • Gather intelligence on relevant programs in the region to establish requirements for L3Harris technology.
  • Provide reports and returns to management in accordance with established process and procedure.
  • Develop and maintain teaming and strategic arrangements with other companies in the region.
  • Assess and analyze technical applications of L3Harris products and competing equipment to meet customer needs.
  • Support the Director Sales/Account Management and Managing Director L3HCA in establishing and maintaining relationships with key government and political stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Exceptional management and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle demanding and stressful situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous dynamic change.
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills in MS office suite.
  • Tertiary qualifications with minimum 6 years relevant defence industry experience or 10 years previous experience working within a similar position in a matrixed organisation.
  • Prior experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, KPIs, and contractual deliverables in the defence industry.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) - NV1.
