Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Business Development Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for representing our company in customer interactions, building sustainable relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Representation

Represent our company in customer interactions, looking after customers in the SA, WA, and South-East Asian markets.

Relationship Building

Build sustainable existing and new relationships and act as the internal voice of the customer.

Incoterms and Requirements

Work towards mutual agreements with clients on incoterms and requirements to obtain the best deal for the company while being aware of financial implications.

Sales Pipeline Development

Proactively prospect and qualify leads to build a robust sales pipeline, developing growth strategies and plans to target new business opportunities.

Operational Solutions

Provide operational solutions to customer needs, ensuring effective supplier and logistics solutions, and working closely with the Administration Team and Financial Controller.

Market Intelligence

Develop timely and accurate market intelligence by researching business opportunities, industry trends, and viable income streams, while cultivating relationships with key decision-makers.

Compliance and Quality

Ensure compliance with all HSEC systems and processes, legal obligations, and quality manual requirements, participating in reviews and audits of the quality system.

Requirements

  • Commercial Experience

Over 5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably within the chemical, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial industries.

Incoterms and Negotiation Skills

Basic understanding of Incoterms and the ability to strategically manage them with customers.

Sales and Negotiation

Proven sales and negotiation skills, consistently exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.

Relationship Development

Capability to develop new stakeholders within existing customer accounts, ensuring strong and lasting relationships.

Travel and Work Rights

Willingness to travel nationally or internationally once per month to support business activities and customer relationships. Must have full work rights to live and work in Australia.
