Instrumental Music Tutors

We are seeking experienced and self-motivated Specialist Instrumental Teachers to join our Co-Curricular Arts Department, commencing in the near future. The positions will commence with an approximate 1 day per week workload, with up to 1-2 days per week for Strings, with the possibility of increasing.

The Role:
  • Provide instrumental music expertise to assist students to reach their full potential and build a culture of excellence in Instrumental Music.
  • Lead Ensemble/Band rehearsals.
  • Prepare written progress reports for parents.

Key attributes of suitable Instrumental Teachers include:

  • A passion for teaching both the instrument and young people.
  • High-level organisational skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Music.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

As an instrumental teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality music lessons to students, leading ensemble/band rehearsals and preparing written progress reports for parents.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading ensemble/band rehearsals to help students develop their musical skills and performance confidence.
  • Preparing written progress reports for parents to keep them informed of their child's musical progress.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple commitments and deadlines.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Music or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
