The RoleHarrisdale SHS is seeking a passionate Music teacher to join a high-performing team. The role involves teaching Years 7 to 10 Music with strong pedagogy and engaging, performance-rich lessons. Experience in Senior School Certification courses (e.g., Certificate II Music) and expertise in coordinating/directing ensembles, particularly choirs, are highly desirable.
Responsibilities- Deliver curriculum that promotes creativity, musicianship, and a deep appreciation of music.
- Inspire students through inclusive, student-centred learning experiences.
- Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate with stakeholders.
- Support the school's Care, Respect, Responsibility, and Excellence values.
- Contribute to the extensive extracurricular music program (choirs, ensembles, instrumental groups, performances).

Qualifications and Experience- Experience teaching Music to Years 7–10 with sound music pedagogy.
- Desirable: experience with Senior School Certification courses (e.g., Certificate II Music).
- Experience coordinating and directing ensembles, particularly choirs.

EligibilityTo work with us you must:
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
