We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Personal Care Assistant.

This role involves providing person-centred care based on individual care plans under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Clinical Care Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to residents, adhering to care plans and directives from Registered Nurses.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the health status of residents, ensuring timely reporting and documentation.
  • Promote dignity, respect, and safety, creating a positive environment for residents.
  • Assist with medication administration, following safe administration principles and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Support residents with daily activities and personal care needs, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications: A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Supports (Aged Care).
  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within aged care or healthcare is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, empathy for the needs of the elderly, strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation, documentation, and care planning is an asset.
