About the RoleThe Learning Support Assistant works under the supervision of a teacher to help students learn and participate in school activities.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting individual students with their learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assisting students who need extra help, such as scribing or reading for them, and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Helping students behave well and engage with their learning.
- Assisting students with technology and other equipment in the classroom.
- Performing administrative tasks, like keeping records and preparing materials.
- Helping keep the classroom tidy and organized.
- Providing basic care and support for students with physical needs.
- A current Working with Children Suitability Card.
- A valid driver's licence.
- Ability to travel within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville occasionally.
- Ability to perform the role's physical requirements safely.
