Job Title: Senior Investment Specialist

This role is seeking an experienced professional to support the development of infrastructure-related public sector transactions.

About the Role

The Senior Investment Officer will be responsible for originating, structuring and executing transactions that contribute to AIIB's lending program.

  • Support the planning, design, preparation and implementation of projects/programs in Region 1.
  • Participate in overseeing the implementation of AIIB's investment operations to enhance quality and accelerate project implementation.
  • Lead or participate in dialogue with clients, co-financing partners and other stakeholders on strategic issues.
  • Advise clients on the preparation of technical and feasibility studies.
  • Conduct project risk assessment and advise project teams on mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Investment Officer will have key responsibilities including:

  1. Originate, structure and execute infrastructure-related public sector transactions.
  2. Support business development activities in public infrastructure sector projects.
  3. Undertake regular supervision and implementation support missions and site visits.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • At least 8-10 years of relevant working experience preferably in a multilateral development bank.
  • Extensive experience working in transport operations or the management of transport/logistic projects.
  • A Master's degree or equivalent in transport engineering or other transport-related fields.

Proficient oral and written communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of Russian, French, Spanish or Portuguese would be an advantage.
