
Chief Sustainability Officer: Social Procurement Expertise

We are seeking a Social Procurement Manager to support our geography in embedding social benefit into procurement practices and major project delivery. This role will involve connecting project teams, social suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive strategy, partnerships, and tangible outcomes.
The Opportunity- Develop and implement socially responsible procurement plans across major projects, identifying opportunities and removing barriers.
- Build and grow relationships with indigenous-owned businesses and social enterprises within your geography.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborate with project teams to identify, evaluate, and mitigate procurement risks.
- Upskill staff and lead initiatives that promote awareness and application of socially conscious procurement practices.
- Contribute to industry leadership by supporting thought leadership, research, communications, and reporting.

Requirements- Demonstrated experience in procurement, project management, community engagement, or social value initiatives.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence diverse teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to navigate complex or ambiguous environments.
- Willingness to learn or knowledge of indigenous procurement practices, commercial processes, and relevant legislation.
- A commitment to equity, sustainability, and advancing meaningful outcomes for marginalized communities.
