Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team. This role will involve the design, documentation, testing, and commissioning of electrical control systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in machine control, safety, and functional safety principles. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering or scientific discipline
  • Experience in electrical design and installation, preferably with 7+ years in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of requirements of AS3000 & AS4024.1
  • Experience in machine control, safety, and functional safety principles
  • Knowledge of materials handling system controls
  • Experience in writing of technical documentation
  • Knowledge of configuration, programming, and commissioning of PLCs (Siemens S7 preferred), variable speed drives, barcode scanners, and safety devices
  • Experience in managing installation crews
