Cafe Team Leader Position

We are seeking a seasoned and people-oriented leader to manage our café operations.

This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality food, excellent customer service, and effective team leadership. The right candidate will play a key role in supporting the café manager, ensuring that every shift runs smoothly and every customer has a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Support day-to-day café operations on afternoon (midday through to evenings) and weekend shifts*

* Act as 2IC and team leader, ensuring work is delivered to brand standards*

* Oversee rostering, team coordination, and stock/order management*

* Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures*

* Respond to customer feedback and service issues with care and professionalism*

* Assist with onboarding, team training, and performance development*

* Monitor KPIs related to customer satisfaction, cost control, and team performance*

* Work within POS systems and manage cash balancing, end-of-shift reporting*

Requirements

* 3–5 years' hospitality or food service experience*

* Previous experience supervising small teams*

* Familiarity with hospitality POS systems or similar*

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills*

* A hands-on, can-do approach and ability to lead by example*
