Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud Services team at Helia Group.

About the Role:

  • Design, deploy, and manage our AWS cloud environment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership in cloud architecture and deployment strategies, including hybrid cloud designs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance in cloud environments.
  • Implement automation and orchestration tools for cloud resource provisioning and management.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, and services, and respond to performance and security incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations in cloud environments.
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and services to optimize cloud architecture and performance.
  • Lead knowledge sharing activities within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Must have 15+ years of Infrastructure and Cloud technical experience, with at least 7-10 years designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions in AWS.
  • Highly desirable to have 3-5 years experience designing, deploying and managing Azure Cloud Services including Azure AD.
  • Expert in cloud architecture principles, including Microservices, Paa S, Iaa S, and Saa S.
  • Expert experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools.
  • Deep understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
  • Expert in implementing CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices in cloud environments.
  • Expert with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
  • Certifications in AWS (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
