Urban Planning Professional

We are seeking an experienced Urban Planning Professional to contribute to our team's success in providing expert planning and resource management advice.

The role will involve working on a range of land development, infrastructure, and strategic planning projects across New South Wales. As an Urban Planning Professional, you will have the opportunity to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary project team, contributing to the company's business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate high proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing, with comprehensive knowledge of NSW urban planning and environmental legislation.
  • Act as project manager, ensuring project outputs meet or exceed agreed goals through effective planning, programming, and coordination.
  • Develop project plans and strategies for major projects, including identification of business resource requirements.
  • Manage or assist with the preparation of strategies, reports, environmental impact assessments, and other planning documentation and submissions on behalf of clients.
  • Undertake technical and quality reviews of documentation prepared by the planning team to ensure it meets client expectations.
  • Lead and assist with the preparation of tender documentation.
  • Foster client relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Grow, develop, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or Architecture/Urban Design or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably within NSW.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Interest in working on a broad variety of projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with the team, managers, and clients.
  • Commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development.
  • Drive and passion to solve problems and produce innovative solutions.
