Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Expert to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. As the Head of Compliance ANZ, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.

Estimated Salary Range:

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective compliance programs to ensure regulatory adherence;
  2. Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, such as APRA and ASIC;
  3. Manage and oversee the VSC ANZ Branch's compliance program;
  4. Provide guidance and support to senior management and other stakeholders on compliance matters;
  5. Collaborate with Corporate Compliance on trade compliance controls and risk management efforts;
  6. Perform due diligence and ongoing oversight of vendors, buyers, and aggregators;
  7. Monitor the business' compliance culture and assist in implementing compliance policies and protocols.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field;
  • At least 7 years' experience in a Compliance Officer or Manager role or equivalent;
  • Experience within a niche or composite insurance company, bank, or professional services firm;
  • Membership of a professional body, such as the GRC Institute for compliance professionals;
  • Strong technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and credibility at a senior level.
