Job Title

The Medical Education and Support Officer role plays a pivotal part in the delivery of high-quality education and training for junior doctors.

This position is responsible for fostering junior medical officer wellbeing, ensuring trainees are equipped to deliver safe and effective patient care, and managing payroll and rostering functions.

About The Role
  1. Assist directors in developing, coordinating, and evaluating education for Network 2/Prevocational Trainees (interns & PGY2 medical officers).
  2. Provide support to Prevocational Trainees as per the HETI framework and requirements.
  3. Ensure JMO wellbeing is fostered in line with the NSW Health JMO wellbeing and support plan.
  4. Manage and administer the payroll of the Network 2/Prevocational Trainees at Bankstown – Lidcombe Hospital.
Key Requirements
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to juggle competing priorities with confidence.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and provide reliable administrative support.
  • Understanding of medical staff structures within a public hospital and ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
