We're seeking an experienced V&V Lead Engineer - Communications and SCADA to join our team at Siemens Mobility Pty Ltd.

About the Role:

  • Lead Verification & Validation, Testing, and Commissioning Activities: Coordinate and execute site testing and commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are integrated and ready for delivery.
  • Develop and Manage Plans: Create, implement, and oversee V&V and T&C plans, schedules, and strategies for Control and Command Systems (CCS).
  • Collaborate with Interface Partners: Work closely with partners to confirm system readiness, compatibility, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Supervise On-Site Teams: Lead on-site teams, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Track and Implement Changes: Monitor and document changes to system interfaces, manage bug reports, and oversee snag/punch list item resolution.
  • Prepare Comprehensive Reports: Collect, review, and organize test results, preparing comprehensive reports that comply with safety and operational protocols.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years' experience in rail systems, with 3-4 years specifically focused on Testing and Commissioning of Central Control Systems (CCS) or Communication (COM) systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Rail Operation Control Centres (OCC), central SCADA systems for rail, and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and configuration management.
  • Proven leadership skills in leading site teams, managing site activities, and planning high-quality, on-schedule deployments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at coordinating with multi-national teams and working under pressure.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-country, and high-pressure project environments, with a focus on meeting stakeholder expectations.
