Job Title: Information Technology And Records Officer

This role is responsible for supporting the agency's business technology and providing stewardship over the agency's digital records and information.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work proactively and collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure coordination and quality outcomes for all facets of the agency's digital systems and technical support service delivery.
  • Provide expert technology support for business operations and on-site, flexible and remote working support.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, with support to resolution and/or escalation to external support organisations as required.
  • Coordinate the agency's information and records management systems, specifically managing metadata across digital information assets and supporting staff in the ongoing enhancement of systems rollout.
  • Monitor outsourced data security management, ensuring adequate coverage and response of the network, infrastructure and data to threat events;
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on key technology areas such as policy, security, information and records management, and general systems usage; including supporting the technical onboarding of new employees;
  • Document IT information, assets, processes and maintain an IT knowledge library;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills involving complex information, particularly within a legislative framework.
  • Excellent time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work pro-actively in a team environment, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage information assets and data.
  • Ability to provide one-on-one and group training, develop training content and evaluate user capability.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate information clearly, concisely and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Baseline Security Clearance or the ability to obtain clearance (this includes being an Australian Citizen).
