Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Sales Assistant to provide exceptional customer service, advice, and product solutions to both trade and retail customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding service, handling payments, and maintaining high visual merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert service, advice, and product solutions to customers
  • Tint paint products to meet customer requirements
  • Manage inventory control (Goods Receiving/Stock taking)
  • Take orders in-store and by phone
  • Replenish stock, including 15L paint drums
  • Build strong relationships with repeat customers and colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest colour forecasts and product releases
  • Assist with visual displays, store presentation, and housekeeping
  • Comply with safe work practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold a driver's licence for local deliveries
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding service
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is essential
  • Experience with stock handling and merchandising is preferred
  • Capacity to perform manual tasks, including lifting 15L cans of paint
  • Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge or technical aptitude
  • Numeracy skills for POS transactions and tint percentages/ratios
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook
