About the Role:
The Head of Secondary School reports to the Principal and is responsible for the academic, operational, and pastoral leadership of the Secondary School across two campuses. This key role empowers staff and students to thrive in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of high expectations, wellbeing, and continuous improvement among staff and students.
- Lead diverse academic pathways, promoting student engagement, achievement, and wellbeing.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment, prioritizing student wellbeing and development.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement through strategic planning, system refinement, and adaptive change management.
- Build the capability and wellbeing of staff through mentoring, collaborative leadership, and developing a high-performing team.
Requirements:
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and values-based school culture.
- Deep understanding of contemporary teaching practices and ability to lead diverse academic pathways.
- Proven capacity to lead innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong commitment to building staff capability and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading a complex school environment, including staffing, budgets, compliance, and day-to-day management.
