About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Community Support Professional to join our shared living team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing. Your responsibilities will include providing a range of services to assist clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Support clients to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living, including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning. Provide personal care support and assistance with medication as needed. Support clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs. Work to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies. Communicate with families about clients' progress.
About You
We are looking for a positive and energetic individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disability. You will be a team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment. You will have a flair for creativity, while also being organised and able to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people. Experience in the disability sector is desirable, but a willingness to learn is essential. You will be able to support others with personal and hygiene care and be happy to have this as part of your role. Personal qualities of resilience, empathy, and self-confidence are essential. High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect are also required.
