About us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal.
The Courts Group comprises of Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria.
We enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdiction's strategic priorities while pursuing interconnected opportunities that deliver broader benefits.
About the Position
This is a fixed term position for 12 months in the Family Violence Branch.
You will provide non-legal support to Respondents in Family Violence matters during the court process.
You will make referrals to behaviour change interventions through single session engagements with Respondents.
Conduct eligibility assessments and provide recommendations for Mandated Counselling Orders.
You will establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Judiciary, Court Registrars and community-based organisations.
About You
You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in a related therapeutic discipline such as social work, psychology or social sciences.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Family Violence is essential, including drivers, risks and issues that can exacerbate family violence risk.
Skillful support, crisis containment and risk assessment are required.
Promote Respondent accountability and identify collusion.
