Financial Services Regulation Lawyer
About the Role- Provide expert advice on AFSL/ACL licensing and Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act, DDO, breach reporting, claims/complaints handling, and unfair contract terms.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of clients, from BNPL providers and payday lenders through to consumer finance platforms, on product design, distribution, and compliance strategies.
- Offer regulatory insight in corporate M&A and fundraising contexts, particularly for financial services.
- Guide fintechs and payment providers through the evolving regulatory perimeter and licensing landscape.
We're seeking a technically strong, commercially astute, and team-oriented lawyer who is excited by the opportunity to contribute to high-profile regulatory matters.
About You- 4-7 years' PQE in financial services regulation, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Experience advising on BNPL, payday lending, consumer credit, or similar products, and a deep understanding of their unique regulatory considerations.
- Familiarity with key FSR legislation and regulatory frameworks, including Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act.
