The Opportunity

We are expanding our financial regulation practice in Australia and globally, creating opportunities for talented lawyers and senior associates. Our practice covers banking, insurance, funds management, and more, serving Australia's major financial institutions and global clients. The Australian team is part of Ashurst's global financial regulation practice, working closely with other teams and our Risk Advisory consulting business.

Ideal Candidates
  • Passionate about regulation and developing solutions for clients' regulatory challenges
  • Post-qualification legal experience in financial services regulation within private practice, regulatory bodies, or international law firms
  • Experience with regulated markets, payments, consumer credit, digital assets, AML/CTF is highly desirable
  • Excellent academic record
  • Enthusiastic about cross-border work
  • Strong client relationship skills, business development experience, and interest in staying updated on industry developments
