AWS Data Center Operations Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Server/Network Technician to join our team at Amazon. As a Data Center Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting the IT infrastructure that supports the AWS cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs
- Diagnose and repair issues for server, storage and network devices, including the physical replacement of parts
- Remediation or recovery of physical power issues on racks and participate in Data Center power & cooling events
- Shift work (4 days on and 4 days off including night shifts on a rotational basis)
- This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment using our lifting equipment
- Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and their own vehicle to travel between sites

Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of server hardware and components
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the follow hardware platforms (e.g. Dell, HP, Supermicro) is a plus
