About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technicians to join our team on a casual basis at our site in Maitland, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collecting production and CHPP samples from client sites
  2. Performing a range of preparation and analytical tests, including Ash, Moisture, Total Sulfur, Calorific Value, Sizing Analysis, and more
  3. Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to standard operating instructions
  4. Validating results to ensure they meet repeatability tolerances
  5. Optimizing turnaround time for samples while maintaining the highest quality of results
  6. Ensuring adherence to Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  7. Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and presentation of equipment and work areas
  8. Assisting in the operation of the Pilot Scale CHPP
  9. Bulk sample lay down, pickup, and weighing back of samples
Requirements:
  1. A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
  2. Physical fitness and comfort with manual handling duties
  3. Numeracy and literacy skills relevant to the position
  4. Effective time management and organization skills
  5. Ability to learn on the job
  6. Good organizational and communication skills
  7. Reliability and trustworthiness
  8. Valid driver's license
  9. Forklift license highly regarded
  10. Previous industry experience an advantage

As part of the selection process, a pre-employment medical exam, including a drug and alcohol assessment, may be required.
