About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at ALS Limited in Maitland, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collect and process production and CHPP samples from client sites.
  2. Perform a range of analytical tests, including Ash, Moisture, Total Sulfur, Calorific Value, and Sizing Analysis.
  3. Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to standard operating instructions.
  4. Validate results to ensure they meet repeatability tolerances.
  5. Optimize turnaround time for samples while maintaining high-quality results.
  6. Follow Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  7. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and presentation of equipment and work areas.
  8. Bulk sample lay down, pickup, and weighing back of samples.
Requirements:
  1. Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
  2. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
  3. Numeracy and literacy skills relevant to the position.
  4. Sound time management and organization skills.
  5. Ability to learn on the job.
  6. Good organization and communication skills.
  7. Reliable and trustworthy.
  8. Valid Driver's License.
  9. Forklift license highly regarded.
  10. Previous industry experience an advantage.

As part of the selection process, a pre-employment medical exam, including a drug and alcohol assessment, is required.
