Pet Care Assistant

The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with excellent communication skills, able to work well in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service. As a Pet Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge of animal care and behavior.

**Job Description:**

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be cross-trained across all areas of our pet hotel – from caring for our four-legged guests to providing friendly customer service at reception. Your responsibilities will include welcoming pets & their owners into the pet hotel, checking our furry guests in and out, taking accurate notes of their individual/special requests, managing the phones to take bookings and answer telephone enquiries, promoting retail sales of the best products to suit each individual pet/owner's needs, running front-of-house reception and general administration duties, providing excellent customer service, continually finding ways of improving the customer experience, and maintaining high-quality guest services, including keeping owners up to date during their pet's stay.

Required Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 3-5 years' reception experience in a fast-paced role
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally
• Strong computing and administration skills with the ability to quickly learn new software systems
• Availability to work peak periods including public holidays, Christmas, Easter and school holiday periods
• Confident handling pets of all sizes, with a calm and caring approach
• Reliable transport (there is no public transport servicing our location during operating hours)
