About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our teams at various projects in the Toowoomba, Goondiwindi, and Gympie regions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the onsite construction process and providing support in the field to assist with the coordination of all trades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the onsite construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide support in the field to assist with the coordination of all trades, including plant operators and labourers.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to the environment and safety.
  • Accurately follow instructions and directions from supervisors and engineers.
  • Assist with the surveillance of subcontractors' and suppliers' work and materials delivered.
  • Operate machinery as required and lead by example.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience on a similar civil infrastructure road/bridge/pavement/drainage project.
  • Reside in Toowoomba, Goondiwindi, or Gympie Regions, or a neighbouring area to the projects.
  • Proven ability in leading the construction process by leading a team of multi-skilled plant operators and labourers.
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to the environment and safety.
  • Capable of accurately following instructions and directions from supervisors and engineers.
  • Experience assisting with the surveillance of subcontractors' and suppliers' work and materials delivered.
  • Confident in hands-on day-to-day site supervision and coordination.
  • Able to operate machinery as required and lead by example.
  • Australian citizen/permanent resident or have a current visa allowing you the right to work in Australia.
