We are seeking a seasoned Residential Care Professional to lead our children's home in Tamworth.

About the Role:

  • To manage daily operations and safeguard the welfare of young people
  • To ensure that all young people's needs are being met, recognizing changes in behavior and updating individual risk assessments/care plans as needed
  • To provide a safe environment that meets the needs of our young people
  • To supervise support workers and identify areas for professional development
  • To respond proactively to safeguarding concerns and follow established processes
  • To contribute to interviews and safer recruitment checks
  • To create and maintain rosters ensuring adequate staffing levels for each young person
  • To act as a key career or supporting figure for our young people, building trust and positive relationships
  • To develop and implement child-focused care plans and risk assessments
  • To support the team and young people during stressful situations
  • To foster good working relationships with other professionals
  • To adhere to policies, procedures, and risk assessments
  • To report any safeguarding or child protection matters to the registered manager
  • To ensure accurate incident, accident, or restraint reports are submitted within agreed timescales
  • To be aware of health and safety regulations regarding the upkeep of our facilities and surroundings

Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience in residential childcare
  • OFSTED experience
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management or equivalent
  • Full UK driving license
  • Clear DBS
