Job Title: Aboriginal Health Strategist

This role plays a key part in driving improved health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

About the Opportunity:
  • Lead the development of strategic plans to address the health disparities faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organisations to enhance the delivery of culturally safe health services.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert advice on health equity strategies to inform policy development and service delivery.
  2. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including Ministers, senior executives, and community leaders.
  3. Contribute to the design and implementation of programs aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing health equity strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and identity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse sectors and communities.
