Job Description

This role is crucial in overseeing the wellbeing and guidance of our Peer Wellbeing Navigators, supporting participants throughout their recovery journey. As a key leader, you will guide a team to create a culture that prioritizes safety, respect, and inclusivity for all.

You will combine your leadership skills with care by mentoring and empowering your team to enhance their strengths, build confidence, and foster professional growth while maintaining a compassionate, evidence-based, and accessible service. Together with your team, you will provide vital support through access, care coordination, navigation, peer, and wellbeing support.

Collaboration with other leaders is essential to ensure care is inclusive, effective, and aligned with best practice. This position requires a dedicated and values-driven leader who understands the significance of lived experience in shaping meaningful mental health and wellbeing supports.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Senior leadership experience (3+ years) in a mental health setting
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Psychology or another mental health-related field, with AHPRA registration where applicable
  • Ability to lead and motivate a designated lived experience workforce
  • Demonstrated experience in embedding lived experience across models of care
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve service delivery

Mildura Mental Health and Wellbeing Local supports individuals aged 26 and over experiencing mental health challenges, including co-occurring alcohol and drug treatment needs. The service is delivered in partnership between various organisations to ensure care is local, responsive, and inclusive.
