Job Title: Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Specialist.

  • Provide personal and family counselling, therapy and group work to support students and school communities.
  • Offer professional supervision, leadership, advocacy and support to school social workers within the region.
  • Develop the capability and clinical skills of school social workers through training and development initiatives.
  • Conduct mental health and social welfare assessments, interventions and follow-up support to students and families as required.
  • Lead high-level expertise in specific or specialized clinical areas to promote delivery of safe, effective and high-quality social work services.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to provide support to schools, communities, regional teams and inter-agency networks.
  • Support the delivery and continual improvement of social work services in schools by reviewing policies, operational standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Advisor, Social Work to identify professional development needs and implement clinical supervision, training and development initiatives for social workers in schools.
  • Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school and regional response team.
