Payroll Coordinator RoleAbout the Job

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the entire payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the payroll process to guarantee precision and adherence to regulations.
  • Proactively review payroll processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular compliance checks, audits, and reconciliations to maintain payroll integrity.
  • Offer advice on payroll matters, including entitlements, overpayments, deductions, and award/classification changes.
  • Support internal and external audits, while enhancing governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with various teams to implement process enhancements and support system improvements.
About You
  • Essential experience in Ascender Pay or similar platforms.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering payroll services in complex, regulated environments.
  • A strong improvement mindset, with proven experience in reviewing processes, solving problems, and implementing efficient ways of working.
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to generate insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Strong customer focus, accountability, and the confidence to challenge existing practices constructively.
