Aboriginal Mental Health Specialist

The role involves working with Aboriginal young people and their families to advocate for psychosocial health needs.
This position requires a collaborative approach, delivering psychological assessment, intervention, and therapeutic services as part of a multi-disciplinary team in Dubbo, NSW.
Key responsibilities include creating holistic treatment plans, assisting in the formulation and review of individual risk-needs-responsivity based case plans, and engaging with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations in a respectful manner.
To be successful, applicants must have current provisional or full registration (Clinical Psychology registrar) with the Psychology Board of Australia, a valid Drivers' Licence with willingness to travel throughout NSW, and a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
Applicants are required to identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, providing confirmation through either a Confirmation of Aboriginality form or written confirmation from 2-3 Aboriginal organisations within the community.
This is a temporary part-time position (21 hours per week) offering flexible work arrangements, training opportunities, health programs, and competitive remuneration.
