About the Role


The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with cloud native technologies, including Kubernetes, and leadership and communication skills. You will define and track key performance indicators/success metrics for the product and the business, prioritize the engineering roadmap in accordance with engineering resource allocation, and drive against commitments. Additionally, you will represent the product in meetings with customers and partners, partner closely with product marketing and press/analyst relations, and collaborate with specific Azure groups to create next-generation enterprise-grade solutions.



Responsibilities


Your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Defining the product vision for AKS features and experiences and building near-term product roadmaps based on that vision.
  • Working across Microsoft and with partners to execute on the roadmap.
  • Defining and tracking key performance indicators/success metrics for the product and the business.
  • Prioritizing the engineering roadmap in accordance with engineering resource allocation and driving against commitments.
  • Representing the product in meetings with customers and partners.
  • Partnering closely with product marketing and press/analyst relations to ensure that the services are appropriately positioned in the market.
  • Collaborating with specific Azure groups like networking, compute, backup, site recovery, portal, storage, data, and developer divisions to create next-generation enterprise-grade solutions.


About You


You will have a BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience (3+ years in a technical role). Leadership and communication skills, analytical thinking and decision-making, customer focus/empathy, and business/strategic acumen are essential. A Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, OR equivalent industry experience is also preferred. Experience working with enterprise customers to design and build systems architectures and expertise in building large-scale distributed systems and cloud services are highly valued.
