Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned Lawyer to join our team in an exciting opportunity.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on complex issues relating to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. The role involves conducting thorough research, drafting complex court documents, and assisting with investigations and litigation proceedings.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver strategic policy advice on ACCC functions and powers.
  • Conduct comprehensive research into matters relevant to ACCC responsibilities.
  • Support investigations and court proceedings for the ACCC.
  • Draft and settle complex court documents in support of investigations and litigation.

Requirements
  • You must be admitted as a practitioner of the High Court or Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory.
  • You should have experience advising line areas under tight timeframes and knowledge of Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
