About This Role- We are currently recruiting for a results-driven Strategic Financial Analyst to join our team in Melbourne on a permanent full-time capacity.
- You will play a critical role in delivering financial insights and strategic analysis to support data-driven decision-making that drives revenue growth and profitability.
- Develop and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting with a focus on sales, cost of sales, and raw material margins.
- Analyse and explain variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, translating financial data into actionable insights.
- Partner with leadership to drive margin improvement initiatives and monitor ROI on key commercial and operational projects.
- Provide financial decision support to sales, operations, and planning teams on pricing, product mix, customer profitability, and cost efficiency.
- Support strategic planning and business reviews, including value-added growth initiatives and operational efficiency programs.
- Influence commercial strategy through robust analysis, scenario modelling, and business case development.
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. An MBA or CPA/CA qualification is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering roles.
- Experience in production and manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
- Strong collaboration and ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and commercial mindset.
